Today is not only another one of those super geeky days, but also one of the only two palindromes this year!

As for me, I got up an hour early (like 11 o’clock instead of, like, noon…) to sign up for an extra class so that a) I can stay insured under my parents as a full-time student and b) I might as well take some cheap extra classes that I know will transfer. I ended up choosing United States History because it will mean that all of my classes are on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 11am until 9:20pm with a long-ish break halfway through. This is awesome news, especially if it means that I can work on my internship (if I get it) all day Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays! :D

My mom went to the doctor again because of her ulcerative colitis, and she’s going to be starting a Remicade treatment, which is very similar to chemotherapy. It saddens me to to watch my mom go through this and I can’t help her one bit. There are some serious side effects to the Remicade, including serious infections, reactivation of tuberculosis (which my mom is a carrier of, but doesn’t actually have), and lymphoma. The doctor said that he’s done this treatment many times before, and has always had positive results, so I guess we’ll have to wait and see.

I watched a video on some guy Photoshopping a picture of himself to look like a Na’vi from Avatar, so I decided it was time to finally reinstall Photoshop and make a picture like that for myself. I spent a good two hours working on it, and I’m not as pleased as I was hoping, but it still came out alright. Maybe I’ll do some touch-ups later on this week.This was the result.

Tomorrow’s my first day of class. I’m super excited!
