I got a debit card!

Well…not yet. But I did open a checking account today! My debit card should be arriving in about 2 weeks. Not only did I get an amazing plan for my new checking and savings accounts, but it comes with something I’ve wanted for a long time: online banking! I’ll finally be able to check my balances using sites like Mint.com (amazing service, by the way), so I’ll always know how much money I have.

Now I know the risks of having a debit card: spending a lot just because I can, losing it, etc. My mom and I had a long talk with the woman at my bank, plus I’m a reliable person to begin with. It’s just going to be a painful 2 weeks before I get it… =/
