Since tumblr is a free service, has no advertisements, no business model and subsists completely off VC funding, don't you think it's a bit twee, if not outright ignorant, to be upset when it goes down more frequently than a Chinatown hooker? Ooh, my first Anon hate mail!

First off, gurl, you need to calm it down. Calm. It. Down~ Obviously I was just poking fun at the fact that the thumbnail for Tumblr on my Chrome is now the Tumbeasts instead of my Dashboard. If I were actually mad, I would’ve started cursing, added angry emoticons, or pictures of Rage Guy along with some witty comment. But even then, I wouldn’t be totally serious. I’ve been on Tumblr for almost 4 years now. I’ve seen the crazy increase in traffic over the last year or so, I’ve come to expect downtime, and I also know that they do have some income other than VC funding, such as partial revenue from the Premium Themes and those cute little stickers in the Directory. So bam!

Your humor’s very much appreciated though, haha. Lord knows I’ve contributed to at least a few of those Joseph Gordon-Levitt reblogs…
