My newfound love…
Last week I ended my long-term relationship with Pantene Pro-V Ice Shine to go after a new hair-care line: John Frieda Brilliant Brunette. All I have to say so far is…wow!
With Pantene, after washing your hair with the shampoo, your hair is left feeling very dry and wiry. This is immediately reversed once you put the conditioner on; your hair feels extremely soft and silky smooth. This is because the conditioners apply a waxy coating to your hair. While this wax isn’t in any way bad for your hair, it just gives a “false sense of security.”
John Frieda’s collection, however, actually cleans and moisturizes your hair. I could immediately tell after the first shampoo that my hair didn’t feel nearly as dry. The conditioner is a bit strange, in that it doesn’t feel like conditioner I’m used to. It doesn’t immediately make my hair feel luscious, and this worried me at first. Not even after my hair has been towel-dried does it feel as soft as it did with Pantene. It’s only when my hair was completely dry that my hair felt amazing to the touch. After having used it for a few days, I immediately went and bought John Frieda’s shine-enhancing serum and texturizing creme, both of which also work wonders.
Hey, I’ve gotta let my feminine side show every now and then, right?
